The culprits concerning my addiction to off-the-beaten-track travel and activism are easily identifiable. My parents have carried me around like a hippie since I was very young. First in a converted truck, with which we drove from Vienna to Scandinavia and then to Scotland when I was less than 4 years old.
After road trips by truck, we changed our mode of transportation: we now went on an adventure with our tribe (4 children on a 10 meters sailboat)! We spent every summer and other school vacations (parents were teachers!) discovering the Mediterranean, all sails out. Every morning a new landscape, preferably wild, and that up to 3 months a year.
